Kavrepalanchowk, Nepal | 2nd September 2026
Malpi International School proudly hosted the Inter-School Literary Day on 2nd September 2026, bringing together talented young writers, speakers, and thinkers from schools across the region for a day dedicated to the celebration of language, literature, and creative expression. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their literary and oratory skills across a diverse range of competitions, fostering healthy competition, confidence, and a shared love for the written and spoken word.
A Day Filled with Literary Excellence
The programme was thoughtfully curated to engage students across multiple dimensions of literary and communicative ability. Participants competed in six distinct events: the Poem Recitation Competition, which highlighted expressive delivery and command over language; Picture Description Writing, testing students' powers of observation and descriptive prowess; the Story Writing Competition, where imagination took centre stage; the Literary Quiz, a spirited test of literary knowledge and quick thinking; the Essay Writing Competition, showcasing analytical and reflective writing skills; and the Debate Competition, which saw students engage in sharp, well-reasoned argumentation on thought-provoking topics.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated remarkable creativity, articulation, and critical thinking, reflecting the strong emphasis their respective schools place on nurturing literary talent. Judges and attending teachers commended the participants for their preparation, poise, and the depth of thought evident in their performances and written work.
