Important Notice – Resumption of School after Dashain/Tihar Break
7th November 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Warm greetings from Malpi International School!
We trust this message finds you and your family in good health after the festive season. We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Dashain and Tihar, filled with joy, togetherness, and relaxation. As we approach the resumption of School, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and patience through the recent adjustments we had to make for the safety and well-being of our students. Your unwavering support has been invaluable during these challenging times, and we are truly grateful.
As we prepare to resume classes, we would like to update you on essential information regarding the upcoming school term, exams, and events, along with some preparations to make as winter approaches.
We are excited to welcome our students back to school on Saturday, 9th November 2024. Please note, however, that due to the recent road conditions, the main road to the school is still not accessible. To address this, we have made arrangements for two convenient options for your child’s drop-off.
- Panauti Drop-Off: Due to accessibility issues on the main road to the school, parents may drop off their children at Panauti, where our school team will be present to take responsibility for transporting students to the school.
- Alternative Route to School Premises: If you wish to bring your child directly to the school premises, please use the alternative motor able route via the Khopasi Bridge. Our school staff will be available to guide you along this route.
To ensure a smooth transition and minimize congestion, we request that parents follow the time slots below for drop-off:
Grades IV – VII: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Grades VIII – X: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We also want to emphasize that it’s essential for all students to attend from day one, as we’ll be moving forward with a number of important academic activities. The two remaining Half-Yearly Exams, which were postponed due to the unexpected break, are scheduled for Friday, November 15th, and Saturday, November 16th, 2024. We encourage our students to make the most of this time to prepare for these exams, as we are confident they will approach their studies with renewed enthusiasm and determination.
Additionally, as winter approaches, please send your child fully prepared with appropriate winter accessories and warm clothing. Jackets, gloves, scarves, and other essentials will help them stay comfortable throughout the day. We’re mindful of each child’s well-being and want them to enjoy a cozy and focused learning environment.
Finally, we are thrilled to announce that the Outdoor Education Programme for all grades will take place as planned from 25th to 30th November 2024. This program is a highlight for many students, offering them a chance to learn beyond the classroom and connect with nature. A detailed itinerary and a confirmation slip will be shared with you soon so that you can make the necessary preparations.
Thank you once again for your steadfast support and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming your child back on 9th November 2024, and we are excited for the promising months ahead. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.
With warm regards,
Robert Wilson
